On Friday 26 and Saturday 27 February 2010 the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) will organise an Open Weekend. The Open Weekend will take place at the MCAST Main Campus, Corradino Hill, Paola from 9am till 4pm on Friday 26 February and from 9am till 1pm on Saturday 27 February 2010.

The European Commission and the Spanish Presidency of the EU will tomorrow launch the 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. Under the slogan “Stop Poverty Now!”, the campaign aims to put the fight against poverty – which directly affects one in six Europeans – centre stage across the EU during 2010.

In response to a request by the President of Malta, HE Dr George Abela, the Maltese Community in Dubai organised a Charity Dinner in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund. The activity, sponsored by Emirates, was held at the Westin Hotel, Mina al Seyahi in Dubai.

The Foundation for Social Welfare Services today launched the project Embark for Life (E4L – ESF 3.61). This project is co-financed by the European Union, European Social Fund and is being coordinated by Agenzija Appo[[ and A[enzija Sedqa within the same Foundation, in collaboration with the Employment and Training Corporation and the Housing Authority.
